Hey everyone, quick question - how do you usually respond when a prospect on WhatsApp says ‘I’ll get back to you’ and then goes silent?
I’ve been facing this a lot lately, and I don’t want to come across as pushy. Any suggestions on what works best?
I usually give them 2-3 days, then follow up with a friendly reminder like: ‘Hey [Name], just checking in if you had a chance to look at my offer 😊’. Sometimes they genuinely forget.
One trick that worked for me is creating urgency without being pushy. I’ll say: ‘No worries, but just so you know, this bonus/discount ends on Friday.’ That gets them to take action faster.
Honestly, I used to lose a lot of sales here too. What helped me was sending a quick value tip related to my product instead of just asking if they’re ready. Keeps me on their radar without sounding desperate.
Sometimes it’s not about what you say, but when you follow up. I started messaging at times they’re likely less busy (like evenings) and my reply rate doubled.
Don’t take ‘I’ll get back to you’ personally. I treat it as a polite brush-off unless they’ve shown real interest before. That way, I don’t waste energy chasing every prospect.
