Organic Or Ads - Or Both?...

I've noticed sometimes people treat organic content and paid ads as though you have to choose one or the other.

Personally, I do a mixture of both makes much more sense.

Organic content gives you something ads can’t really replace.

You get to see which subjects people stop for, what they comment on, which questions keep coming up and what sort of wording seems to connect. You’re building an audience and learning about the market at the same time.

But you don’t necessarily have to wait until you’ve built a big following before you start advertising.

Your organic content can already reach people who don’t follow you and, while you’re building that side of the business, ads can give you another route to people who may be interested in what you sell.

For me, that’s where ads become useful.

You already have something to sell and you want more people seeing it. Instead of every visitor depending on you posting another Reel, making another video or writing another piece of content, you can pay for some of that traffic as well.

I still wouldn’t suddenly throw a huge budget at an untested offer.

Start sensibly and watch what happens. If people are clicking but nobody is buying, simply buying more clicks probably isn’t the answer. There may be something in the offer, price, message or page that needs looking at first.

That’s also why I like using the two together.

Organic can help you learn what people are interested in and paid traffic can help you put the stronger ideas in front of more people.

So I wouldn’t wait for organic to be “finished” before trying ads. You can build the audience while testing paid traffic alongside it.

Organic helps you learn. Ads help you buy more reach.

Used together, you get a much clearer picture of what’s actually working.

All the best,

Jeffery. 😉
