Man Allegedly Beats His Wife to Death in Edo - When Will This Madness Stop?

Hello my people,

Another heartbreaking story coming out of Edo State. A man named Esosa Imasuen has allegedly beaten his wife to death after an argument in their home. 😢 Witnesses say it started as a fight, but it ended in tragedy. He reportedly ran away after realizing she wasn’t breathing.

How long will this kind of violence keep happening in our homes? 💔

🗣 Let’s talk about it:

  • Why do some people still think violence is part of marriage?
  • What should be done to stop domestic violence for real?
  • If you saw something like this happening in your compound, would you speak up?

No woman deserves to die like this. No one deserves to suffer in silence in their own home.

Rollins

Jesus 😢 How can someone do this to their own wife? This is pure evil.

Kizito

Rollins Honestly, it’s terrifying. What do you think drives someone to do this - anger, control, or something deeper?

Hillary

This man must not go free. They need to catch him and let the law deal with him!

Sandra

Hillary Exactly! Too many of these cases get swept under the carpet. Do you trust the system to actually prosecute him?

Kingsley

This reminds me of my neighbor’s case. She used to cover bruises with makeup. Domestic violence is real.

Mirabel

Kingsley Omo! That’s sad. Why do you think people stay in such marriages? Fear, shame, or hope that it’ll change?

Ruben

Sometimes I wonder, are there enough safe places for women to run to when this kind of thing starts?

Frank

Ruben Great point. We need more shelters and support systems. Have you ever heard of one around your area?

Nduka

Some people still think 'disciplining' your wife is normal. That mindset is the problem!

Nduka True! That toxic belief has ruined lives. How do we start changing that mindset in our communities?

Henry

Women need to know it’s okay to walk away early. Love shouldn’t hurt.

Hillary

Henry Facts 💯 But some women don’t know how to leave, especially when there are kids. How can we help them more?
